Based in Nelson, New Zealand, James Gordon creates unique train prints, cards, and calendars. Originally from Epping, England—a town on the outskirts of London—he discovered his passion for trains while working in Switzerland in 2016. During his leisure time there, he developed his artistic skills through drawing.Switzerland proved to be an ideal setting for this pursuit, thanks to the regular presence of some of the world’s most iconic trains—such as SBB, DB, TGV, and ÖBB—at the bustling Zurich Train Station. Inspired by Switzerland’s rich heritage of exceptional typography and vintage poster art, James went on to craft a distinctive style in his illustrations and posters.
